Four New Cappies Reviews Now on StageMagazineOnline.com!

Hello high schoolers, this is Andrew from StageMagazineOnline.com.  I hope your holidays are shaping up nicely!  Winter break will be here soon, and you will have some time away from the books and the stage to see your loved ones.  But have you seen the Reviews of your fellow students on our Reviews section?  As you may know, we have been working with the Philadelphia Area Cappies since the beginning of this school year to give them another outlet for their work.  Over 30 area students have signed up to post reviews on our site, and some of them have already been to a show and posted a review!  Here's an update about what they've been doing:

Sarah Moore, Sarah Radley, and Mary Siki have all reviewed Garnet Valley High School's production of "High School Musical".  Mary Siki has been especially busy, reviewing Unionville High School's "Arsenic and Old Lace" as well!  All three of these young ladies are very talented writers, and we would like YOU to check out their reviews!

You may read these and many other Reviews at http://www.StageMagazineOnline.com/reviews

If you are a Philadelphia Area Cappie or other high school student who would like to post Reviews on StageMagazineOnline.com, send me an email (Andrew@StageMagazineOnline.com) and I will reply with information about how to get registered.  If you've already registered for the Reviews section, get out there, see a show, and post a Review!  Remember, your Reviews are scanned by Google, so whenever someone searches for the school, production, or even the town, your review will show up!  Have fun and we look forward to seeing your Reviews!

Sincerely,

Andrew S. Allshouse- High School Manager, StageMagazineOnline.com

Cheltenham High School: Fall Play "Noises Off" coming up!! Also, Cheltenham Touring Ensemble

Hey there, readers! I actually don't know if anyone is really reading this :) but that's alright. I just thought I'd let everyone know about the upcoming Fall Play at Cheltenham High School. The play is "Noises Off", and it's on Friday, November 16th and Saturday, November 17th at 7:30 pm. It'll be at CHS, and the address is: 500 Rices Mill Road, Wyncote, PA, 19095

So you should come! The cast is really very brilliant, and is as Follows:

Joe Liss as Garry Lejeune
Victoria Evans-Quilloin as Dotty Otley
John Bowman as Lloyd Dallas
Jenny Pfeil as Belinda Blair
DJ Fortine as Frederick Fellowes
Rebecca Schwartz as Brooke Ashton
Travis Henderson as Tim Allgood
Noah Burd as Selsdon Mowbray
Jackie DiFerdinando as Poppy Norton-Taylor

and directed by Frank Burd.

I've been to several of their rehearsals, and they're really doing a bang-up job with it. It's a very witty show, fast paced, and really well executed. It's worth the trip over! Tickets are available at the door.

On acompletely different note, the Cheltenham Touring Ensemble Debut was a great success! We were in The Phildelphia Inquirer!! Czech it out : www.philly.com/philly/news/local/10910346.html I'm not in any of the pictures, but it's okay. We'll be touring soon, and I'll keep you updated on our venues!

That's all for now. Peace out, cub scouts.

~Chelsea

Cheltenham High School: Intro Blog!

Hello, home viewers, and WELCOME to my first ever Cheltenham High School CMT blog!! Some of the other critics from the program I'm sure have their accounts too, and I think this one might be just mine. I'll have to ask our wonderful music director, Mr. Goltz.

Mr. Goltz is the best music director because he chose A CHORUS LINE for our spring musical!!!! Isn't that something? It's going to be amazing. There is a lot of talent in the department this year, and we have a really great production team working on it. It'll be fantastic, rest assured. And even though it hasn't been cast yet, I know that you want to come see it. So come, even if you're not critiquing (<<did I spell that right????) I mean, honestly, who doesn't like A Chorus Line??

Well, I suppose that maybe I should introduce myself, and at least mention the rest of the Cheltenham Music Theatre Cappies Team :) My name is Chelsea A Kreines, and I'm a senior at Cheltenham, and I love muscal theatre, naturally. Those of you who saw Cheltenham's production of Beauty and the Beast last year will know me as Madame De La Grande Bouche (the wardrobe). Read my profile for lots of things about me if you're into that kind of thing. The rest of the amazing team of critics for CHS is Jesse Cohen, Nick Della Monica, Jackie DiFerdinando, and of course, the aforementioned Robert Goltz, our fearless leader. All of us are super excited for the entire Cappies experience. It should prove to be rather fun. I mean, come on. Free shows?? Could life get much better??? I submit that it could not!! (10 points if you got that referance)

Well, I haven't really got much left to say (other than this: I am the one with the brown hair in my profile picture. The blonde is none other than Rebecca Luker. What a sweetie!) and it's getting late. Some of us (and by that, I mean every one of us) have school tomorrow. I look forward to filling you all in on our show and letting you know about others!! Peace out, theatre nerds :) <3

StageMagazineOnline Founder Appoints Andrew Allshouse To Work With High Schools and Cappies

Charles Seymour Jr, Founder of StageMagazineOnline.com, Announces Andrew Allshouse as Marketing Manager for High School Theater and the Cappies Program.

Charles Seymour Jr, Founder of StageMagazineOnline.com is proud to introduce Andrew Allshouse as Manager for High School Theaters on StageMagazineOnline.com. Andrew is also the Cappies Manager and will work with University, Summer, and Youth Theaters, as well as Retirement Communities, Community Organizations, and Popular Online Hangouts (like MySpace and FaceBook).

Andrew is an energetic and enthusiastic person who is dedicated to helping those who are passionate about theater.

While he has only been a dramatic performer on a middle school stage, Andrew has performed in musical groups (can you say Heavy Metal - and with their own EPs too!) for over nine years and is no stranger to building online communities. His current band has over 700 “friends” on its MySpace page (he's expanding ours!) and he has performed in venues all over the area. Andrew is extremely excited about the chance to make an impact for our High School Theater Members on StageMagazineOnline.com and looks forward to meeting all of you!

Andrew was graduated with a BA in English Literature from Saint Peter’s College in Jersey City, New Jersey in 2005. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Teaching and Learning with Technology from Ashford University in Iowa through an online program. (He’s working full time during the day with us and pursuing his Master’s Degree at night! Wow… where does all that energy come from!?)

After recently working in the medical field and as a freelance writer, he responded to an ad placed by Charlie on Craigslist in September, 2007. He has become an integral part of the team as we look toward our plans for making this community even better!

Andrew is available for questions or comments by email at Andrew@StageMagazineOnline.com. Drop him a note to say Hello!
